Building Intercultural Competencies among leaders in the Church. Based upon the leaders guide, and in light of the recent V Encuentro, this project is currently in early stages of implementation.

Phase 1: Raising awareness, facilitating dialogue

Phase 2: Identifying and supporting ministers with leadership potential in the Church

Phase 3: Leadership development and ongoing support

Customer Relationship Management database. Built on the Salesforce platform, the goal of this database project is to increase responsiveness to the needs of constituents. Through use of the #1 platform in the business, the tools leveraged in the database management will help to decrease attrition rate from programs, more quickly identify opportunities for growth and development, and better support the learner in the distance learning environment.

Sample Use Case: 83% of students have completed distance learning modules on time; however, 17% have fallen behind in the course material. Through automated reporting and dashboards, these 17% have been identified and pre-written email correspondence will engage the learner with encouragement and a high-touch personalized service and support — without increasing the workload of the staff members.

MA in Theology for Ecclesial Mission. In collaboration with the Dominican School of Philosophy & Theology, Berkeley, a new 4-year part-time Master’s degree has been developed for lay leaders. Based upon a model of “co-responsibility,” this degree will offer a systematic presentation of theology in the Thomistic tradition with a primary outcome of praxis in parish ministry.

Albertus Magnus Center for Scholastic Studies is an organization dedicated to the promotion of sacred theology undertaken according to the mind and method of the great scholastics.

This purpose is realized principally through our summer theology programs, in which participants are invited to an intensive course of studies in Catholic theology presented in the form of the great universities of the high Middle Ages. Unique to these programs is the combination of scholastic form and content, namely the study of St. Thomas Aquinas in the way that St. Thomas himself would have studied. Hence the dedication of the Center to his own teacher, St. Albert the Great.
